ELMOT JSC was found in 1967 with production facilities based in Veliko Tarnovo - the old capital of Bulgaria. In short period of time it became the biggest manufacturer of asynchronous electric motors with conical rotor and internal brake in the world - 140,000 of them are produced each year.
Since its foundation the company has engineering, development, production and commercial activities, marketing, warranty and after warranty maintenance of motors, hoists, geared motors, valves and other components manufactured in the company.
ELMOT JSC was found on the base of the previous Motors Factory in Veliko Tarnovo, which was specialized in the manufacture of electric motors with conical rotor and internal brake.
By 1988 the factory is developing at a rapid pace as the industry reaches three times greater than that of the world's leading manufacturers of such engines.
The production of ELMOT JSC has been working for nearly half a century for customers worldwide, it is synonym for quality and reliability. At the beginning of March 2008 marked 40 years since its first production of an engine.
